If you need a repeat prescription please tick which items you require on the prescription tear off slip. You can request this by either post or at the desk.
When ordering prescriptions we ask that you allow 2 working days (doesn't include weekends)48 hours to process.
Please do not order repeat prescriptions too early. Requests for repeat prescriptions will not be accepted over the telephone. Repeats will also not be given out to anyone under the age of 16.
Prescriptions may be ordered online. Please ask at reception for details of how to register. Please bring some ID with you. Or go to the home patient for further details.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
