We are a family practice providing high quality personal primary care for an increasing number of patients in the Oldham area. We pride ourselves on offering a professional and efficient service to our patients and continuously strive to improve our services.
We have a purpose built premises which has suitable access for disabled patients.
Pausing Elective Care in Greater Manchester (4/1/22)
Hospitals in Greater Manchester have made the difficult decision to pause some non-urgent surgery and appointments due to the rising impact of COVID-19.
Patients who will be affected by this will be contacted by the hospital as soon as possible.
If you are not contacted by the hospital, please assume your treatment is continuing as planned. There is no need to contact the hospital or your GP practice for this information.
We understand how disappointing this will be for patients who have appointments or procedures affected, especially those who have already waited for some time, and we know people will be worried.
This is a temporary measure, and the aim is to impact the fewest number of patients. The situation will be reviewed on a regular basis so that procedures can resume as soon as possible.
Urgent treatments and cancer operations will continue to be prioritised and hospitals will continue to work together across Greater Manchester to care for patients so that everyone who needs urgent care and treatment, gets it.
Anyone waiting for treatment can find advice and support on the Greater Manchester While You Wait website (whileyouwait.org.uk). Here you will find information and advice on how to manage your physical and mental wellbeing while you wait.
This is a difficult decision and one that has not been taken lightly, but we’ve done it so we can keep people safe, can maintain the very best infection control measures, can make sure we deploy staff to where they’re needed most and can keep looking after people who need urgent and emergency care, including cancer treatment.
We would urge anyone with health concerns to continue to come forward for help and treatment in the usual way, using their local emergency department only for serious illnesses or injuries. A reminder that NHS 111 can help if you have an urgent medical problem and aren’t sure what to do. Call 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk.
We make every effort to give the best service possible to everyone who attends our practice.
However, we are aware that things can go wrong resulting in a patient feeling that they have a genuine cause for complaint. If this is so, we would wish for the matter to be settled as quickly, and as amicably, as possible.

Did Not Attend (DNA) Policy
The practice will not be able to help all our patients if we have to lose a lot of time with missed appointments from the patients. If patients Do Not Attend an appointment at the practice without reason or warning they will initially receive a first warning letter. If they DNA again a 2nd letter will be issued and will result in removal from the practice register. Parents get the warning letter for dependant children. Please help us to reduce the DNA's.
Important Notice – COVID 19 Booster Vaccine Information
A coronavirus (COVID-19) booster vaccine dose helps improve the protection you have from your first 2 doses of the vaccine.
It helps give you longer-term protection against getting seriously ill from COVID-19.
Who can get a COVID-19 booster vaccine
Booster vaccine doses will be available on the NHS for people most at risk from COVID-19 who had their second dose of a vaccine at least 6 months ago.
Eligible people are:
- People aged 50 and over
- people who live and work in care homes
- Frontline health and social care workers
- People aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts them at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19
- Carers aged 16 and over
- People aged 16 and over who live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
People who are pregnant and in 1 of the eligible groups can also get a booster dose.
Where to get the booster vaccine
The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have a booster dose. It's important not to contact the NHS for one before then.
When you are contacted by the NHS, you will be able to book your booster appointment locally at The Dinwoodie Centre at The Royal Oldham Hospital, a variety of local pharmacies or the Greater Manchester’s regional vaccination centre at the Etihad Campus in east Manchester. Booking will be done via the national booking system or by calling 119.

COVID-19 booster vaccine and flu vaccine
Most people who can get a COVID-19 booster vaccine are also eligible for the annual flu vaccine.
If you are offered both vaccines, it's safe to have them at the same time.
